I watched this film, just because of kids!! Who did not seem to enjoy it much any ways as they did KMG earlier!!

Title: Krrish: search for his Edha baap!

99% of film is NON SENSE imho! 1% SFX in Indian film, sincereity of Roshan Johar, Rekha maii, and priyanka's nose job(did any one notice?)

Sound was good, indeed proper 5.1 as this was only Hall they had proper sound and even Killer the crap preview was dynamic and directional!

I'm at the Bollywood festival in Stuttgart. It's a bit chaotic here with prints not coming and DVDs shown or screenings cancelled... Anyway, I went to see "Shree 420" (again, classics deserve to be revisited all the time) and the old scratched print was shown as widescreen with heads chopped off. Etc. The good news is that a great film (not perfect at all, but a great film is great because of the good stuff in it, not for being perfect) transcends even the shittiest print to some degree and gets you to tear up and cheer and clap at all the right places... "Rang de Basanti" showed amazing image quality on the huge screen. It's a digital intermediate by Prasad and it looks often better than Hollywood jobs. This will be an amazing HD-DVD when it's made from the DI.
But since this is the Krrish thread... I saw Krrish again, also on the huge screen, with a at least 50% non Indian audience. People enjoyed it. I tend to enjoy second and third servings of Bollywood films better than the first time. The first time all the weaknesses, the copying, the goofs, the plot holes etc. dominate the picture. The second time these have been duly noticed and archived and the mind focuses on the good parts, the things that work, the overall feel and flow, the little details that make and break a shot or a scene. I have to check it out again but the first time Krrish sees his mask we do hear a variation of the Batman theme. That made me smile. And the falling from the tree together, so corny, but it has its own poetry. A perfect Bollywood moment. The multiple good bye waving I have seen before. Very funny and effective. Where did that come from? I'm off for my last film now: Ajantrik (Ghatak).

No, Bengali film Ajantrik by Ritwik Ghatak. 4:3, also shown as widescreen. They don't have the proper lens.
