I dunno if you guys already know this - but I found some interesting bits about the film Kaante on its website - and checked the names up at IMDB.
The film is to be released in DTS, Dolby Digital and SDDS. SDDS will be a first for an Indian film. The film is shot on Panavision (another first) and developed at Fotokem L.A. They are using a process called skip-bleaching which several Hollywood films have used to process the negative to create a certain desired effect.
The cinematographer has done several B-grade Hollywood films but his newer films are supposed to have been visually appealing.
The sound guy is still working as Boom Operator on B-grade Hollywood films.
The choreographer did Glitter, Speed, Showgirls, Malcolm X.
The producer made stuff like Children of the Corn, Hellraiser, The Omega Code (all super B-grade stuff!)
The effects guy did stuff like Abhay, Total Recall, Stigmata, Legend of Bagger Vance, Starship Troopers, The Craft, Money Train, Virtuosity, The Net, Johnny Mnemonic, Forces of Nature, As Good As It Gets.
Will that be 8 channel SDDS, DTS-ES, and DD-EX?
Is Michael Bay or Paul Verhoeven directing?
