Actually it is 5000 rupees and not $$$$$$.

BTW he is on bail now and appealing his case in High court (and then you have SC, so you have got another 20 years before going to Jail)

<digression>
Madras High Court has closed a case in record 4 days period (and sentenced the guit to 10 years). The previous record was 7 days, also by Madras high court. Will it happen in Salman case?
