Shahrukh Khan and Ram Gopal Varma to do a film
By IndiaFM News Bureau, February 17, 2006 - 03:33 IST

It has finally happened! Shahrukh Khan and Ram Gopal Varma will soon be doing a film together. However, it isn’t the remake of Sholay, in which Varma wanted him to play Gabbar. Varma recently visited the actor on the sets Karan Johar’s film. It is too early to reveal the subject of the film. However, the duo will definitely work together

SAROOK AS GABAR!!  RGV charya gaya hai, Sathya bhi!! :x

Only weird thing about the news is that RGV visited a Karan Johar set, but otherwise this is great news. Great actor paired up with a great film-maker!

Laugh all you want :P

I don't know how well it'll work out. Shah Rukh Khan is a compotent actor, and Ram Gopal Varma has done some commendable work, but the two are very far apart in regard to their "styles." I don't know...maybe it'll be all right.

I've always thought Shah Rukh has given his best performances in films you wouldn't normally see him in (especially Swades, Dil Se and Hey Ram), so I reckon this collaboration will work out well.

was really hoping that ramu’s film wld be based on the h.g. wells book (though the guy pearce film version was not that good, but I absolutely luv the 60s version)

but unfortunately it turns out that baweja’s version will be based on the wells novel and not ramus - link

though I am really glad to finally see kareena working w/ ramu - that is a director/actor pair I have been wanting to see for awhile

but to see ramu working w/ srk makes me sick! (just as bad as ramu working w/ amit). ramu needs to go back to working w/ real actors

Wow, my husband might even watch this one! And he always refers to SRK as "that extra" as in, "why is the camera always on that extra, when is the hero showing up?" But he has enjoyed every Varma film he's seen.
