Taking inspiration from DVD Collector's thread of Top 20 Indian Films of the 00's, I'm starting this new thread about 80's masala films. I'm talking about films with Mithun, Jeetendra, latkas, matkas and jhatkas -no Gulzar/Hrishikesh Mukherjee films in this list!!!!! What are your favourites?!?

In the 80s most Hindi films were Masala films.

The above is from the top 50 list as per their Box Office earnings. There sure are others too that collected less at the Box Office but are considered good Masala films by many. Like, Nache Nagin Gali Gali, Nigahein, Purana Mandir, Samri etc.

Shahenshah is probably the greatest "non-great-but-still-great" film ever made. I also loved Mard (largely for a "so-bad-it's-undeniably-good reason).
