Yes, probably true, sadly. But maybe a Western label like Metrodome or Diaphana will pick up the rights eventually as Bollywood's coverage continues to expand. Wishful thinking, but you never know.

Thanks for linking to the review, Ali, as well as to Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. A positive review for Swades coming soon... :)

Veer-Zaara miffed Musharraf summons Chopra

rediff Entertainment Bureau | April 15, 2005 21:48 IST

Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf wants to meet Bollywood producer-director Yash Chopra when the General visits India on Saturday.

Sources in Islamabad say Musharraf is very upset with the story of Veer-Zaara, which was produced and directed by Chopra.

In the hit movie, Shah Rukh Khan plays an Indian Air Force officer who falls in love with a Pakistani girl, and is illegally imprisoned in a Pakistan jail. After 22 years, a Pakistani lawyer (Rani Mukerji) rescues him.

Musharraf recently told a senior editor that Pakistan had never arrested or kept in confinement any IAF officer. The Pakistan President found it unfair of Chopra to 'show Pakistan in bad light.'

Chopra has been sent a special invitation for a dinner on April 17 at 8 pm in New Delhi's Taj Mansingh hotel.

The dinner is organised by Aziz Ahmed Khan, Pakistan's high commissioner in India, for select personalities from varied fields.

Musharraf is expected to convey his displeasure to Chopra in person.

The above screen shots are not same catures, but still why the hell, hindi film makers are AR shy.

Now wait for French Edition...that will combine, better AR, Film split on 2 disc  posibly and better PQ if Original Pal.

Those colors look oversaturated, like they took the caps in one of the "enhanced" modes on the DVD software.

True, although they look the same as the caps in this review and that kind of transfer is typical of REM's DVDs.

A/R is nearly ~ 2.30 from these frames...correct 'should' be @ 2.35

Colours I found to be better than the REM & YRF discs...
DTS Audio is fantastic - I'm no audiophile...but loved it...the AC3 file was weak IMHO...
