How is the sound quality? For $12.49, I'm not just paying to get an LP replica :)

LOL.. I dont have an LP player to compare to, but these are digitally remastered from CD. I wonder where I can buy some LP play just to play one of these!

DVDU, what do you mean? Do they come with vinyl singles inside or something? From the cover I just thought it had a miniature version of the LP cover or something.

I picked all of these up on my recent visit to India. They are CDs packaged inside a carboard cover. The CDs look like records but are CDs. The packaging sleeve also looks like there is an LP inside.

Dont tell me. I didnt open the pack yet but my distributor told me that its LP (and the reason I ordered turntable!) Let me cancel my amazon order first.

I will open it tomorrow and see if its CD / LP.

If you dont mind, let me know how much you paid for this also. This begger charged me 10.95 because he said its LP and the reason why its expensive. I am gonna kill the guy.

Sorry guys to open this thread un-necessarily. I removed the product from our site also.

The Max Retail Price said Rs. 399 (approximately $ 8.50) per CD. But there was a deal Buy 3, get 1 free. So it worked out to approximately Rs. 300 ($6.50) per CD. I have played all 5 Cds and they each run about 40-45 minutes (about the time 2 sides of an LP play). This is just HMV making available LP recordings in CD format.

No doubt they have issued these albums on CD before. HMV is the master of re-packaging :?

Rs 399... The way it works is they take the indian value and apply exchange rate of 42 to come up with USD price for retailers, it should be $9.50. Since you get teh buy 3 get 1 free, then it should be around $7.15 / CD, and dont know why they charged 10.95. Its good to know that I am being fooled (or he is being fooled by hmv?)

I know HMV is master of repackaging and the reason why I avoid HMV as much as I can but this time I was really really fooled. You guys saved me 169 from my pocket and I owe you all one!
