Kung Fu Hustle was a fun film.

Paradise Now was just okay. It wasn't anything great.

Kung Fu Hustle is pure jokes.

Till date, I have not seen Paheli, I've avoided the film since I bought into the news/rumor that Shahrukh had intervened in the artistic creativity of this feature, additionally, I didn't even care for its selection for the race in the Oscar bid. However, Philip Lutgendorf raves about this film in one of his recent reviews. Now, I just might check it out soon, plus the soundtrack is criminally underrated.

I rented it shortly after it was selected for India's entry to the Oscars. There isn't much conflict in the film at all, which is the driving force for any narrative. There's potential for an interesting movie here, but it wasn't fulfilled. Lutgendorf's review of the film is too fawning IMO, particularly of the Amitabh cameo, which I found to be kind of a dumb conclusion to the film.

Yaar Dragun, I thought it was only me, who thought that 5 minutes Bachan Bhagwan's addition could be as idiotic as it can be!!

Why would anyone expect awards for such a mediocre movie?
