I recently purchased the DVD title "Taal". It is on the Eros label. I've watched the movie a couple of times and really enjoy both the story line and the music. However, I've noticed the level of the voices after the Intermission, fall back to a low level, while the music stays at the higher level. I'm wondering if I have a defective DVD or is this "problem" the same on all copies of the DVD. I've checked, and there are no other labels, ie DEI, issuing this title. Has anyone else noticed this sound problem?

LBevil who asked you to buy that DVD ( without me sounding rude). If possible go and return that DVD. That was a real shit dvd from EROS ( those wankas as m/f FADDY would call them :D). and nope DEI wont be releasing that title as they dont have the rights for that film.
Check the review of the film , done by mhafner at

NEVER ever buy any "ORIGINAL" Eros DVds..better rent them or do something else..aka DVD copy etc. !

I saw a pirated Taal DVD with better picture than the Eros version, though with a cropped aspect ratio and mono sound.

Thanks for the info(s). Sorry to hear that someone like DEI won't be releasing Taal. As I indicated earlier, I like the movie. Actually, the quality of the video was watchable. It was the varying sound level that gave me problems. Since it is likely no one else will be releasing this title, guess I will just keep this copy. ;)

Which copy do you have, by the way? Eros released two versions. First, with a cropped to 1.85:1 aspect ratio, then another with 16:9 enhanced 2.35:1.

My version is the anamorphic 2.35:1 version. Actually, the quality of the video is quite good.

It's good compared to the worst Eros offers, but very lame
compared to what DEI usually accomplishes.
