And while the climax of Anniyan left me satisfied, Kadhal ended with a downer. Maybe you like to see all sorts of cast issues and other imaginary theories that people come up with in that movie.

I assume you are not from Tamil Nadu or atleast from the southern regions of the state ( esp. Madurai/Tirunalvelli ) - caste issues are real , if you heard people actually dieing for their caste and you think its imagined ( Thevar Magan , Virumandi ) best assured - IT IS TRUE.

I often refer to Khadal as the most "Tamil" film in recent times - to truly appreciate the film some of the nuances of the culture have to be understood and one such attribute is the "role" caste plays in people’s life. The film underplays its role and yet manages to have a devastaing impact on the audience ( also the movie is based on true story - that alone must say something about it )

Anyways , i guess you liked Anniyan over Khadal ( to each his own ) , i am just glad that Khadal is also a hit meaning other people liked this film and thats an encouraing sign for Tamil Films

Ayngaran dvd looks fine to me...*shrugs* don't see much of a difference with their other movies. Of course not upto the quality of i dream.. I dream audio quality is also loads better than Ayngaran.

recently ayngarans Priyasakhi dvd also looked good to me..

I listened to the music of this film on insistence of a friend and was not disappointed, it fits typical shankar film minus Rehman!

He told me it is like Indian! :?:  That I doubt, Indian was Indian because of Kamal!

But I will give it a try!

Dont expect anything ground breaking because watching this at home on dvd is just not the same as watching this in a theatre with lots of people.
