Sorry, I posted so many shots. I haven't watched the entire film, so it's hard to be selective. I only watched 2 songs to check the quality. This DVD has a DTS track. Had they opted out, the video would've been better. Overall a good dvd. It's marketed by iDream in USA, thats why the DVD is good! I wasn't aware until I watched the DVD.

BTW, Music is by Kreem-abdul Jabar :P and it is teh suck! except for one song where he sings. i'm a sucker for his voice, bashtid! :)

ali/ul you guys can edit out the shots you don't think are necessary to conserve bandwidth. dankie.

well, it's a hit movie. i haven't watched it yet. but i might like it for the comedy. it's a typical southie masala flick. what will you expect from it?

I liked Samba. Good music, good choreography, good comedy. pretty decent dvd. not progressive, but has good DD5.1

It is a ok movie. Its got too much of the stuff that Jr NTR always does - high octane dialogs and unneccessary violence and agression. Everything is supposedly in this 'mass' style.

Its being remade in Tamil with Vijayakanth as Gajendra - should probably give you an idea of the kind of film

I saw Gajendra (Vijayakanth) - it was dam awful....expected much more from director Suresh Kissna

The overweight (and OTT) Vijayakanth is not my idea of a cinema "Indian" hero.

Can anyone recommend a good NTR jr film??

While Jr NTR is a good actor and dancer, his choice of films is atrocious (atleast to me). I have not enjoyed any of his films in full. I think Simhadri, Adi, Student No.1 are his best films comparitively speaking. Stay away from them if you dont like raw violence and heavy dialogs

I like how "DVD 9" is on the cover, as if it is a special feature

it's not his "choice". rather, these films are custom tailored to suit his so called image. it sure is sad if Simhadri is considered to be one of his best films.

NTR was great in his time, but his family is making a mockery of him.

I watched this dvd last week. after a thorough watch, the video is heavily flawed into the first few minutes after the intermission. the audio is good, but Keeravaani failed in every department.

as for the movie, these jerks have managed to insult Andhras and Keralites all in the same film! good job!! after having seen this film, I'm not looking forward to Chatrapathi. I like the "Nannemo Seyyamaku" song, all else are joke & half! I probably would've liked the film better had Mani Sharma been the MD :) some of the comedy scenes were good, but even that was a let down. but I'd watch any movie with Bramhanandam, regardless of how silly the film looks.

oh, don't expect any progressive discs by Sri Balaji in the future. save your buck and buy an iDream title instead![/img]

Choice of a good movie is very subjective. Someone said Athonokade (spelled right?) is a great movie. Its something different, etc. so I end up watching it last night. I dont know whats the difference between

Varsham
Okkadu
Athanokkade

and many similar movies. now a days both telugu and tamil movies have one common formula, a simple common man oppose a huge (size, power, redness of his eyes etc) villian and wins the race.

OTOH hindi heros are still circling the trees with many many heroines or they end up having a huge palace with rich costume and no story.

If somemovie is out of these norms and seems good, then its an english copy. i dont how these movies are going to materialize any oscar dream.

I am surprised that you misunderstood hit for good :D

By the way I didnt see these films as being the same. They are same in the sense that all love stories are the same

jag or anyone else; I forgot to mention that I heard SEVERAL 'curse' words in the film. I was quite shocked. or are those words that I thought as offensive curse words not so offensive?? but my eyes nearly popped out when I heard some of the dialogues.

are there any other movies with such language? Don't you think they should have a warning label of some sort?? that's crazy

Samba was pretty good in the entertaining department. More flying sumos, chopped heads and faction violence please  .

I recommend ANAND if you haven't seen any Telugu films. The movie is simply wonderful in every department.
