just finished watching waqt, the canadian version of the dvd does not have the ringtone ads like the canadian version of lucky ( i wish their ringtones will never be available here) and i noticed their logo doesnt show up that much as it used to in other movies

Only question is that how can we differentiate between the Canadian and US version? I live in Canada and only rented the dupe copy of Waqt and it too had the stupid ads between songs and the actual movie!

During songs: Buy Ringtones
During movie: Buy DVDs

i know that even the dope ones down here ( the one that has a purple disc) that is copied from the original has the ads but the videostore guy knows that i dont watch the purple disc one since there are a lot of pixcels so he gives me the original one and i have a widescreen tv so when i watch the movie the black bars arnt there but i kept the option to leave them there and forward the movie at about 8x and didnt see anything at all

i got the version downloaded from BWT the xvid one and theres no ringtones on there !!!!

Not all Canadian versions are ads free. Atleast not the ones I have come across so far. Havent seen Waqt dvd yet, but heard Canadian version also has those nasty ads. Is Shemaroo releasing this on dvd?? Because website has no information about it.

i dont get one thing like the ads running on the black bars are on the burned copies that they rent out at stores ( purple disc) but when ever i rent i always ask for the original dvd and it wasnt there for lucky or waqt but when i went back to the videostore the tv in front was playing waqt and that one dvd have the ads ( they were recording it on vhs) this is getting kind of confusing they both have the same cover but how to tell them apart? atleast as long as they keep the ads on the black bar and not on the picture then i am ok with it since i just take the blackbars out of the screen

First you got Platinum editions of all DEI/EROS dvds from B4U/EROS titles! and you were insistent that they had superior audio video!
Now you are again throwing this in! that EROS DVD in CANADA are specially authored for you WITHOUT ADS!

Man!! come on!! Do some reality check and get your facts/acts straight imho!

some one also got a lucky dvd without ads i think it was urbanlegend( not sure who) and someone also said here that on bwtorrents there is no ad on there and dil se, pardes etc.. were on platnum dei/eros i just got them when they were easy to find

Either you are watching your Waqt etc, in wrong AR or you have dupes, that are not anamorphic, made to fit screen, made in India etc!

I suggest you send that dvd to urbanlegend or to me, whoever is closer to you? or whom you prefer?

This way, no one will have to doubt these custom made Canadian version of Eros dvds!

i did not buy waqt/lucky i only rented them and the ar part it that i take the blackbars out myself from the ez view ( something like that) thats on samsung dvd players

When movies like Lucky and Waqt are released on BWT as XViD then the bars at the top and bottom are cropped (cut) off .. thus the ads at the top are removed.



I have Pardes and Dil Se Platinum DVDs .. I bought them when they first came out.

That was me - my two in one DVD didn't appear to have the ads (haven't seen Lucky yet, just flicked through the DVD. Are the ads on the DVD as a subtitle track (or something similar - sorry, my knowledge of DVDs isn't very good) - so when the DVD is copied, that track is removed? Does this make sense or am I talking complete crap?!??!?
