Expensive TITLE SONG of AANKHEN!!

Rumour : Confidential sources inform us that you are in the process of adding another song to your film, AANKHEN. We are told that the fast-paced number, which has been given a slick and techno-savvy look, will be shot with a record number of dancers participating in it and will be amongst the highlights of the film. We are told that the song is being added in keeping with the fact that the film will be premiered at the prestigious I.I.F.A. Awards, to be held in Malaysia. How far is it true?

Gaurang Doshi : The news is not entirely true. We are indeed shooting a song with 32 dancers, which is being picturised on Amit-ji. But the song is the title track of the film, which we had deliberately held back to shoot in the end. It is being choreographed by Remo Fernandes and cinematographer Ashok Mehta will be playing with a record number of lights in the song. The song is unique and it is also being shot in a unique way.
:cool: for AB fans!! come on faddy!

Just to confirm this piece here :-

What they at least can do is a Nayak standard transfer with proper DD5.1 sound :turn:

Ali :wot:

For some reason, I have feeling that VS might actually produce a decent DVD. It still probably won't do justice to the film, but something like a Nayak transfer, with the sound of the LKLKBK DVD should be decent. I doubt they'll produce something as bad as the Gadar, MKKH, or RHTDM DVDs, because I believe they do realize the magnitude of the movie (Gadar was released within days so they probably didn't expect it to become a blockbuster; Aankhen has a huge starcast and is highly anticipated). But then again, I'm just being hopeful. :stupid:

Actually, Video Sound doing the Aankhen DVD is bad news for the upcoming Sanjay Leela Bhansali Devdaas film. How? Well this is just my speculation. Universal has the music rights to Aankhen and also to Devdaas. I have no idea if there is any business connections between Universal and Video Sound. But considering that Video Sound hold the North American rights to the HDDCS DVD (Sanjay Leela Bhansali's last flick), to me, everything just seems to point at this stage that Video Sound too might bag the DVD rights to Devdaas. I soo hope that I am proven wrong!

And it was later taken by DEI and made into a spectacular 2-dvd set. Let's hope that happens.

But what about the crappy media Video Sound used for Tum Bin. The DVD stopped working after a few viewings, just like most other Video Sound DVDs.

All Indian movies released so far on IMAX (actually not on IMAX screen, but in CineSphere, another auditorium in the same complex) get released at CineSphere... (TAAL, K3G etc). I just checked... and this is what I found.

===
OPSEU is currently engaging in a general strike across the province. As a result, all services at this facility are temporarily unavailable. All Cinesphere screenings have been cancelled until further notice.
===

So All I can say is it will get realeased on usual Desi shit holes of Albian / Woodside Cinemas!!

Pity! Hopefully the original DVD of this movie comes out soon.

well london has its shares of crappy cinemas too like safari harrow, boleyn east ham and quite a few others but the cineoorld cinemas are much better... toronto has barely got any choice for bollywood.... except our good old cinesphere which is closed thanks to this never ending strike...
