Well, any one, who includes his solo directed venture! in 10 best I doubt his credibility!!
Parineeta is good, but not 10 best!

Now we will see with Palekar's Paheli, what are his waters?

Miyan arsh..thats the difference between a Khiladi (Amol Palekar..an actor and director par excellence)..and an Anari (Sarkar...which stars the original Anari...Saif Ali Khan :D )

I know for a fact that there is. I've seen it around. Unfortunately, I haven't had the time to pick it up as yet.

As for Pradeep Sarkar selection; I'm totally shocked to see why anyone would ever pick a totally pointless film like Munnabhai MBBS as amongst the 10 best Indian films ever, it boggles the mind. Even as a film with a sole virtue to simply entertain, it still sucked.

As good as I though it may be and as much as I might have liked Parineeta, it surely does not belong on this list. Munnabhai on this list just smacks of bias to me. The presence of these two films in the list makes me question the sincerety and integrity of the whole list. But then again, if Mr. Ghai lists Taal as one of the ten best, then I guess by that standard Parineeta ought to be, the 'all time best' and surely Munnabhai would also figure somewhere on the list.

Darn, Ghai, remakes traiswaryiazed version of Pardes as Taal and call it Best ever!

and Here is Sarkar, who makes where Devdas meets 1942 a love story and calls it HISTORY!

BTW! Sanjay do you think Vidya Balan is where Sharmila meets Suchitra Sen! but not quite either! :?:

I'll reserve my judgement on that till I see Parineeta again, which should be as soon as I can find some time.
