Not yet, but for now you can listen to the Tamil version just for the music.

I have yet to see any movie shot on digital video that looks anywhere as good as film, even from Hollywood (except for Star Wars which uses proprietary technology) - so I have my doubts about this...Collateral was shot on HD and looked unacceptble in the cinema to me.

People who saw the movie at Sathyam were totally surprised by the clarity of the movie. However for the rest of the world, its a horrible transfer. During the long shorts you can see lot of grains and during short scenes there isnt enought lighting. Thats THE PROBLEM with KH movies, he tries to introduce too many things in one movie. The way he handled the screenplay is something new and in addition this digital technology and on top of that a totally JAZZY music and kinda songless (songs comes as BGM) - so even for ppl who wanted accept change its too much. For the rest of them, they wont feel like they watched "one of the best comic" movie in recent years.

I am hoping the DVD will be good (similar to Virumandi - in theatre due to real recording voices werent clear, but in DVD its absolutely clear - thanks to Prasad/Ayngaran)

No doubt it will be an HD->Film->half-resolution-DVD transfer

That look was intended.
Star Wars uses standard Sony HD cameras.

Censors bent rules for `Mumbai Xpress': Tijori
Manisha Deshpande
IANS
Monday, April 25, 2005

Filmmaker Deepak Tijori claims the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has flouted certification norms for Kamal Haasan's "Mumbai Xpress" and cleared the film in the DVD and not in the regulation celluloid format.

According to Tijori, who accuses the Censor Board of putting him through a "bitter ordeal" for the clearance of his film "Khamosh", the CBFC rules clearly state that a film has to be submitted for clearance on celluloid format.

"However, Kamal Haasan was allowed to submit his film on DVD format. I am also planning to do the same for my forthcoming film 'Fareb' scheduled for a June 17 release. The rules should be uniformly applicable to all," Tijori adds.

He also said Kamal Haasan got a U/A certificate for his film after he agreed to delete an item number.

"But they persisted on an 'A' certificate for my film despite deletion of objectionable scenes. It eventually ruined the business prospects of my film," Tijori lamented.

Censor Board officials were not available for comment.

I listened to hindi version of this album, I must say beyond a novel style by IR I was not impressed!

I admit I loved Chachi 420, both music and film..I think again credit goes to Gulzar!

Gulzar is extremely COMPETENT in situational comedies!!

I hove not seen Mumbai Xpress, but I dont expect it to be on par with Chachi!!

On the other note!! If Gulzar has written and scripted B&B it should be super good.

Only sour point is Badbakht Abhishek, he is higly incompetent in comedy!!
May be Bade Baba!! will compliment/supplement his Nalaiqi!!

BTW I had a handy man last week to do some work in my kitchen and when we were talking, he got a phone call. He opened the phone and removed his hearing aid and placed it on the mobile. I couldnt control my laugh. I had to explain to him.

He said he can adjust the volume and talk by keeping the phone near the ear, but he used to remove the ear piece and keep it in the phone.
