Looks like a decent package. If the transfer is good I'll be buying this one.

Actually indiaweekly bought 500 copies. they have 280 pre-orders. nehaflix didnt buy that much. but if they are willing to sell for that price, it is good for consumers.

The packaging is like Lakshya. Will post screenshot later.

The CD artwork was much better. This thing sucks! It doesn't capture the ambivalence or thoughtfulness of that cover or the other promo stills.

Nehaflix probably put it up as a loss leader or break even hoping ppl would buy other things with it in their order. I bought Swades and $50 worth of other stuff. I'm sure others did the same. My copy got shipped today. Looking forward to watching it.

I just finished watching this movie, and I have only one word. Impressed.

I dont know why south movies doesnt get serious enough (except Kamal ofcourse)

The DVD quality is good. It got stuck couple of times during one of the songs, but since I was watching the movie seriously, I skiped the song and went ahead. May be (hopefully) just the copy that I saw

ahem...kamal is anything but serious. he took a serious subject and turn it into an amture film a la Virumaandi. other than those, he does mostly comedy routines, which can be appreciated in their own right! same with the other "south" movies. they are entertaining! laugh, song, dance, drool, laugh some more, we are done! :)

Actually you are right, I have seen many, like Ramana, Indian, Arasaktchi to name a few and I can keep adding, but most of them are agains corruption. May be this is what South indians are fighting!

BTW TSeries Swades Songs DVD also released!

Swades, imho, is a Noble film for noble cause with Ashu showing gutts to make such film.

It deserve all the way to be tax free to recover its cost.

But it should have been named :

"SALVATION OF CHANDAN PUR", or" KISKO MILLEGI KAVERI"!!LOL

It is very long, overtly preechy, feels like documentory, dragging like hell, to the extent becoming boring.

SRK has given decent sensitive performance. Supporting cast is not that effective as Lagaan.

Movie is all the way winner for NEW GIRL, My GOD, she is superb, good looking, confident actress, even giving SRK run for his money!
She is a true revealation and I see her going long ways.
Even her role was not very well developed either!
She reminds me of Youth days of Madhuri Dixit, like Tezab, Dayavan etc.

I think we found La Dixit replacement here!

Just for its noble theme, MUST watch for all!

Entertainment value is very low, and feels bland.

Lagaan, was too long, draggy at time too, but much better crafted product all together.

So with all his noble intentions, asutosh could not win my heart alone.
