ah this has nothing to do with nothing, but DVD COLLECTOR, i just wanted to say, KICK ASS sig! I LOVVVVVVVVVVVVVE curb your enthusiasm! its definetly one of my favorite shows (that, will and grace and sex and the city)....larry david is the funniest man on tv. ha, love the sig! :;):

Curb Your Enthusiasm is the best thing to happen to television since Seinfeld went off the air. Coincidentally, Larry David is the co-creater & real life George Costanza. What are some of your favourite episodes? I just got the entire 1st season on DVD. One of my all time favourite episode has to be "the doll" episode(which I think was in Season 3).

Another good movie coming from RGV camp. First half was excellent but they F*ed up post-interval. Anyways, I thought the Urmilla's performance was excellent.
On a side note, did anyone else feel this movie could've been an excellent prequel to rgv's thriller KAUN?
Discuss...

lol! going off-topic!

I love the show too and I never liked Seinfield. :baaa: Last week's episode had me ROTF. Larry buys POT and Larry gets a hooker so he can use the car pool lane. Very funny stuff! don't miss the new season!! :D

Finally got to watch this movie and thought it was very good. Coming from a first time director it's something just short of amazing. Not seen a decent movie for ages - thanks for all the recommendations

Just watched the movie. I am glad to see we have another Indian director with his shit together. The movie was too good in every way. It was extremely violent too. I am looking forward to Sriram Raghavan's future projects.

Finally saw this film on DVD. As every one has reported, sure it's a great film.
How come, film as good as this and only 2 shows in Toronto??
How come, this film sold at a low cost of Rs 4.75 cr and still loses 40%??

BTW, apart from Double Jeopardy and another film or two, mentioned in this thread, that have a similar storyline, I saw another film in the 70s with somewhat similar storyline and more raw.
If any one knows which film it is, I'll appreciate knowing the name or anything---
It was a B film and most likely in French or Spanish. It's a plantation story where the owner's hobby was to release captured girls in the jungle and then hunt them on horse back. There were references of skinning them alive via butchery shots. One such girl, somehow escapes, comes back, gets him to fall in love with her, marry and then avenge, equally ruthlessly.
Has anyone seen this film??

Thanks.

Rana

Yeah, EHT is a great film indeed. Second best film of 2004 after "Maqbool".

Finally saw the movie on DVD. It was indeed a nice watch though I feel that the writer/director lost out on several opportunities in the 'preparation' scenes for Urmila's character. This is where Urmila failed as the 'toughie'. She was decent as the naive girl but was unable to carry it off as the scorned damsel......this woman really needs lessons in emoting...perhaps Rani Mukherjee would have done justice but then RGV needs to start thinking with his head to be able to cast anyone else other than his apparent 'muse' !!!

Nice analysis Aarkayne. What did you think of Saif Ali Khan in "Ek Hasina Thi'? I thought he was great.

Totally agree SAK was great.....For a slick and suave conman his constant stubble irritated the heck out of me (directorial problem), but as an actor he gave me the creeps which is being successful at his job!
