KUTHU and MANITHAN are not my thing. I'm looking forward to watching PERAZHAGAN.

kangalal kaidu sei has to be one of the worst movies i have ever seen. rahman's excellent music couldn't even save it. i did have fun laughing AT it though...

Trust me Perazhagan is a quality film...good acting, and emotionally charged screenplay.

Interestingly I was at the murhat of this film in Feb of this year at AVM studio's (I know the movie financer quite well) so I am very surprised how the film was ready for cinema in MAY! and now on DVD in JULY! Dispite the fast work the film still looks great.

I watched the VARNAJALAM dvd from Ayngaran. The transfer is done by AP International and its full of grain. The DTS and DD track doesn't sync with actors lip movement after the intermission.

ok, i finally broke down and bought "kannathil muthamittal", "bombay", and "alaipayuthey". as i undertand it, these movies were supposed to be re-released with better, progressive pic quality. however, i think that is simply not going to happen. they may in fact be re-released, but judging form ayngaran's latest progressive titles, their progressive dvds are not better than their earlier interlaced dvds. if ratnam was going to supervise better looking re-releases of his dvds, he would have started with ayutha ezhuthu, no?

I watched Ayngaran's AE and Madurey dvds. Madurey dvd doesn't have a DTS track. Does this mean Ayngaran has given up on DTS? Also omitting the DTS option didn't really improve Madurey's picture quality. Nothing much to say about the PQ of these two dvds. sigh..... :(

Madurey dvd contains a trailer for Vasool Raja and the theatrical trailer of Chellamey.

This is mainly to dvdunlimited or anyone else: Does anyone carry the Ayngaran version of "Azhagiya Theeye." I know there is a Shruti version for sale on dvdunlimited's website, but I've been waiting to order the Ayngaran version. Only the company's main site seems to have it. I'd like to order it soon, as I heard it is a quality film.
