and here is his reply ( you can tell he is a lulla's "chumchi"
First of all its pretty obvious that you can't tell the difference
between Pirated and Original as you claim you do! Secondly, I own all
the DVDs you claim have Bad Picture Quality and I haven't had that
problem, my DVDs have amazing picture quality. The DVD of Devdas has
better picture quality than the one of Lagaan from Columbia TriStar.
Obviously you're buying the Pirated versions if you're getting bad
picture quality. Thirdly, I don't put lies on my site, all original
DVDs go through quality control weather they're released in India or
any other part of the world its a standard, distributors can't release
them without this. The only time when you'll get a bad print is if the
film is 10 or more years old and the original print wasn't in the best
quality, like with Qurbani (the sound isn't the best), when that's the
case the Distributor will write it on the DVD. The Original Devdas DVD
that was released in north america retails for about $50 Canadian and
is a 2 Disc set that comes in a big box shaped like a Book and
postcards, etc. If you don't have this one and are in North America,
chances are its pirated. The Masti and Khakee DVDs also have good
picture quality, Masti is also a 2 Disc DVD from EROS and Khakee is not
in the normal plastic DVD case, its kind of like the Dilwale Dulhania
Le Jayenge packaging. Wether you believe it or not the reason people
can't tell the difference between pirated and original is because the
Pirated one are so good you won't be able to tell the difference,
they're usually copied from the Original Print of the film. NONE of the
DVD store in Toronto and surrounding areas carry Original DVDs because
people are not buying them, this is a fact!! The store I get my DVDs
from, especially orders the Original DVDs for me because he know I
won't buy pirated ones. The Originals cost between $25-$50 Canadian,
depending on the company and extra that come with the DVDs. Not too
many people are keen on paying that much for Original DVDs. But its a
Catch-22 (People don't want to pay that much and distributors need to
charge that much to cover their costs). You have to remember its the
Entertainment business and if the demand is low the price will be
high!
I hope this helps to clarify things for you and in the future I would
hope that you get your facts straight before complaining about
something you don't know anything about. A lot of hardwork goes into
making these films and the original distributors do not sacrifice
quality for these DVDs, if you're getting bad quality DVDs that's
because you're buying pirated ones. The Store you're buying these DVDs
from won't tell you that they're pirated because chances are they're
the ones pirating them and they'll lose money if they tell you.
i e-mailed him back so IF he relpies then i will put what i wrote back to him this time and what he wrote back ( i would not be surprised if he gets free dvds or else why the hell would he suck up this much!)
