Actors come and go, they make hits and flop. Shah Rukh Khan for example can make one good movie, and make 3 bad ones in a year. But there is one guy that consistently makes "hits", the man, Udit Narayan. The man is gifted, hes got the best voice in Bollywood without a doubt. He sings for the best, and even for the not so good, but he stands out, you know when your hearing an Udit Narayan rendered song, and its the best. His songs are consistently on the top throughout the whole year. Even if the video for the song is very bad, the song itself is good, cause this man sung it. I think Mr. Udit Narayan deserves alot of credit, for if it wasnt for his great songs, then we would be hearing really bad songs.....

By years end he will probably be the top star, he just needs to have solo movies, which this year is all about for him (Hrithik). Thats true.....Udit's voice is very melodious....and still sounds the same way as if it was 10 years ago.....

Lets here it for Mr. Narayan...

The sweetest and most melodious voice that I have ever heard. I've listened to Udit ever since I could remember..
When I get movie soundtracks he's the one name I look for.
From his old hits "A Meri Humsafar"(QSQT) to his new hits
"O Re Gori"(AMALL)..I heard almost all of his songs..and I never disliked any of them. I guess thats why all the music directors go for Udit Narayan as their first pick. Udit Narayan,
"The Real King of Bollywood"...huh HrithikRoshan626..

Okay I will strike a dissenting note here. Udit Narayan has become so monotonous that his songs , of late do not sound the same. Yeah compare them with his legendary..."Aye mere humsafar..ek zara intezaar etc etc"..

This guy has tried to be versatile and shifted to singing Telugu songs and boy he is a craze there, but sadly he doesnt have the ability to really belt out songs that are forever everlasting, barring a few notable exceptions.

My prediction, he may end his career successfully but his songs will not be remembered as much as the GURUS of PLAYBACK SINGING.... Rafi, Mukesh and Kishore !

sknath whether udit makes it to the hights of the legendary trio remains to be seen, although I agree with you I doubt that he will, but its more to do with the actual lyrics of the songs, i.e most songs these days are like nursery rhymes which unlike proper "Nursery Rhymes" are quicky forgotten

:D

Skanth, I have to agree with you. Only time will tell how the singers of today will be seen in 20 years form now.

Udit hasn't sang a good soundtrack since Qaymat Se Qaymat Tak. That SOB's songs sound alike. He is like Shah Ru Khan. An SOB. Govida is the best dancer ever.

Okay..why is Udit Naryan not that great of a singer? I think he's one of the best male lead singer of this day and age. And to say that he hasn't sang a good song since QSQT is a foolish statement. He has sang many, many great songs in the past 10 years or so. And why is SRK an SOB? ANd if you think Govinda's repetitive dance steps are the best ever, well than, I think there's something terribly wrong with you

Agree with Nath, Kishore, Rafi & Mukesh are in a class of their own. I wonder whether the day will ever come when we can admit someone into the class.

Of the current singers, I reckon the best is Vinod Rathod. I know he don't get many songs, but he's got style. Udit is sitting at the top at the moment, but he faces stiff competition from Sonu Nigam and could well be knocked off his perch

Udit hasnt sang a good song since QSQT?? Where have you been for the last 12 years? What have you been listening to? Honestly, what were you listening to?? Udit has been on top for a while, and you probably heard his songs, which many of them have been on the top of charts, and didnt even know who you were listening too. Praising Govinda says alot, it says that you have great taste :doze: really, Govinda dances the same way in every movie and always manages to make a movie into a joke. He thinks people are laughing with him, in reality, people laugh at him.....

I seriously feel Shanker Mahadevan truly has potential to be a memorable singer.
Udit Narayan's songs might not be as memorable now, but they're still great. His singing in Lagaan and Gadar was excellent, bar none.

I listen to all the new soundtracks HritikPoser84. I dont know why Udit is on most of them. He sings the same way for each one. You punks can't appreciate a good song. Udit has polluted your minds with the sewage that pours out of his mouth. And why in hell did someone post a picture of Udit. He is so ugly he can pose for death threats. Hritik is not the king of Bollywood. Rajesh Khanna is. Only he can get away with something like marrying a 15 year old girl. Gadar was the worst movie ever. It was a hit because all the Punjabs went to see it over and over because they know they can only beat Pakiz in the movies.
