The thing about advertisement modelling is that you do not just pick anyone out from a crowd and expect them to sell beauty products. Most people in the US are fat, it doesn't mean their models are fat as well. Despite her fair skin and green eyes, which are about as common as skinny ppl in the US , Aish looks quite Indian - if there is such a thing at all. It really depends which part of India one is from, isn't it?

Besides, say if she really was eastern European, would the Europeans have made an issue of how un-European and south Asian she looks? I doubt it.

Who cares if she looks Chinese or Australian aboriginal? She is beautiful.

Aishwarya is as Indian as any of us. she's made to look like an eastern-european in an ad obviously meant for people of western origin. That's precisely what they want to achieve.

When I go to India, I see "chinese-looking" people all over the country, but I have yet to see them represented in movies or tv serial. I have to say they are even worse off than the dark skinned people!!

Any ways..she looks OLD at this stage!!
