Bollywood At Massachusetts Institute of Technology

At the prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) this semester , students will get to see mainstream Hindi cinema .

The first is going to be ´Jhankar Beats´ and will be screened under the subject ´The Young and the Restless´ , during the Comparative Media Studies Course . In fact , director Sujay Ghosh has got an invitation from the institute and will talk about the film next month .

Some of the films that have already been discussed are Raj Kapoor´s ´Sangam´ (Global Beginnings) , ´Kati Patang´(The Romantic Rajesh), ´Hare Krishna Hare Krishna (Fear of Decadance and Social Consciousness) , ´Deewar´ (The Angry Young Man and Amitabh Bachchan:Fighting Corruption) and ´Hum Aapke Hain Kaun´ (All In The Family).

Next month , the students will get to ´Jism´ , ´Bhoot´ and ´Koi... Mil Gaya´ .

Jism - a frame to frame copy
Bhoot - much better horror films in Hollywood
KMG - another "inspired" film, which sucks if not for Hritik

LUCK of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) , they will have a chance to judge, which one is BETTER, ORIG or REMAKE..ha ha!
