Arsh, Link please.

Planet Bollywood will be the first one to give Hit status to Khakee. After 4 weeks collections of Khakee, they had classified it as Above Average stating it to be Rs 2 cr away from being declared a Hit. In the 5th and 6th week, Khakee might already have made that Rs 2 cr??

Another quote that I read somewhere, last week, was:
"Khakee already would have made ther Hit status if it was not for its high price."

I find, the most honest Box Office Barometer is given @:
http://www.boxofficeindia.com/

They have declared MBBS as Hit, KHNH as Above Average, Maqbool, EHT, Aitbaar as Flops. They haven't declared status of Khakee yet as according to their criterion, it's still not known. I expect it to be at least Above Average as per their reported collections, price and Status critetrion.

As per
http://www.boxofficeindia.com/

Khakee all India distributor cost was 15 cr.
Distributor share in 6 weeks is 17.5 cr, making it 'Coverage' so far.

Film is still running in theatres.

If it recovers another:
1.25 cr then it will be Above Average
5 cr then it'll be Semi Hit
8.75 cr to be declared a Hit.

My guess: 5 cr in coming weeks: SEMI-HIT.

A111-All Time Blockbuster 300%+ Return

AAA-Super Duper Hit 225%-299% Return

A11-Super Hit 175%-224% Return

AA-Super Hit/Hit 125%-174% Return

A1-Hit 75%-124% Return

A-Semi Hit(Overflow) 50%-74%

BB-Above Average(Commission) 25%-49%

B1-Average(Coverage) 10-24%

B-Mixed(Coverage to Loosing)

A few corrections as per exact #s reported at http://www.boxofficeindia.com/
instead of rounding off.

That was after 4 weeks. Now during weeks # 5, 6 & 7, Khakee has made those Rs 2 cr but still Planetbollywood has shied away from declaring it a Hit. It has come very close though.

http://www.planetbollywood.com/BoxOffic ... 205817.php

KHAKEE

7th week collection : 24,64,142 from 35 cinemas (reported)
Total for 7 weeks (calculated) 26.75 cr - 26.80 cr

Verdict - The movie is above average (as per trade classifications) or semi-hit as some say, hit in Mumbai territory, Delhi-UP, South and Rajasthan or aproximately 60- 65% of India, which is creditable for such a heavily priced action movie.

As per http://www.boxofficeindia.com/ figures too, I guess eventually it will reach their Semi-Hit category, while the present status is 'AVERAGE'.

-------------------------------
At Boxoffice India too, it is just shy of 1 week collections to make it to
BB (Above Average) from the last week's status of B1 (Average).
http://www.boxofficeindia.com/

It is still running in theatres. Let's see if it makes to the next category as Box Office Collections are added from the coming weeks.
