Rajshri's Uuf Kya Jaadoo Mohabbat Hai----WILL IT BE A HIT??

May be.

http://www.indiafm.com/previews/04/ukjmh/index.shtml
gives the story plot. No story really, nothing new at least, just like Hum Aapke Hain Kaun, Maine Pyar Kiya and Hum Saath Saath Hain.

I think, it all depends on hype and production values. I'm sure lot of hype will be generated by Rajshri's. So it all depends on what product comes out in the absence of big stars.

Rana

Rajshri Productions P. Ltd. is ready with its new offering, UUF KYA JAADOO MOHABBAT HAI…!, starring newcomers Sammir and Pooja in the lead.

UUF KYA JAADOO MOHABBAT HAI…! is all about the magic of innocence… togetherness… first love…

Pari [Pooja], the young and innocent daughter of diamond merchant Kumar Choudhary [Sachin Khedekar], has chosen to join the illustrious college where her deceased mother once studied. With dreams in her eyes, Pari sets off for Shimla, hoping to discover a new world.

Pari meets Yash [Sammir] and is smitten by his goodness, ambition and flair for dance and music. Yash performs at local events and also runs a small dance school for children.

Pari is mesmerized by Yash. She wants to be a part of his life and extends her hand of friendship. Though Yash dissuades her initially, he slowly gives in to her once he realizes how much she cares for him. Slowly, Yash finds himself getting drawn towards Pari. Together, they discover the magic of love.

Just when everything seemed to fall into place, Yash is falsely implicated and a serious allegation is levelled against him. Despite stiff opposition from her family, Pari stands by Yash in his hour of crisis. Her love stands the test of time. Her faith wins against all odds.

UUF KYA JAADOO MOHABBAT HAI…! is a story of unconditional love, unbound friendship and a promise - I will always be there for you…

UUF KYA JAADOO MOHABBAT HAI…! will be dubbed in multiple Indian and foreign languages.

UUF KYA JAADOO MOHABBAT HAI…! has a running time of approx. 137 minutes. The soundtrack releases on April 3 on Sony Music. The film releases worldwide on May 21, 2004. :)

It means, this is where your vote really counts. :D

Monizam, with your valueable :D vote you changed this film from a certain flop to a 50-50 Hit. :D

Rana

P.S.
There is a limitation to how many votes can be cast. Only registered members are allowed to vote and that too only once. There are only 596 registered zulm users of which only a handfull are active. First, a member has to access a thread and then it depends on him whether he wants to vote or not.

Overall I don't expect more than 15 total votes cast in the present circumstances. I wish, if this can be corrected.

Who knows? Who would have thought that a film titled "Kaho Na Pyaar Hai" starring newcomers would be such a big hit? It had the interesting thriller aspect going for it as well as hit songs, though, so the hype for this film remains to be seen.

If the stars are attractive and the songs click, this film could make some impact, though I doubt it will run for 100 days or anything like that! I have little hope that the film itself will be any good. Sounds like stale wine in a new bottle

Taran delclres MUSIC A HIT:

'Uuf Kya Jaadoo Mohabbat Hai...!' Music: A Winner!

By Taran Adarsh, April 08th, 2004 - 0930 hrs IST

Click above for movie preview

1989. Rajshris introduce a new lead pair [Salman Khan, Bhagyashree] and a new director [Sooraj R. Barjatya] in a love story, titled MAINE PYAR KIYA. The film shatters all records and revives the trend of love stories in Bollywood.

2004. Fifteen years have elapsed since MAINE PYAR KIYA released. Rajshris are giving finishing touches to another love story, UUF KYA JAADOO MOHABBAT HAI...!, which introduces two new faces in the lead [Sammir, Pooja] and a new director [Manoj J. Bhatia], who had assisted Sooraj R. Barjatya in the past.

Two of the three factors that make a love story work in a big way are visible in UUF KYA JAADOO MOHABBAT HAI...!. The film introduces a fresh lead pair [most likely to be a craze with the teenage crowd] and wonderful music [Sandesh Shandilya] going in its favour. And if the third aspect of the film - a cohesive script - catches the fancy of the viewers, there's no stopping UUF KYA JAADOO MOHABBAT HAI...! from hitting the bull's eye.

UUF KYA JAADOO MOHABBAT HAI...! introduces two newcomers in principal roles and if the songs are an indicator of things to follow [this writer witnessed four songs from the film!], both Sammir and Pooja are stars in the making.

Photogenic and confident to the T, Sammir is not merely a smash looker, but also an exceptional dancer. The kind of looks he's blessed with, he could well be the pin up boy after the movie releases. On the other hand, Pooja reminds you so much of Bhagyashree in MAINE PYAR KIYA. An able dancer, the youngster exudes the feminine charm that makes boys go weak in their knees.

Sandesh Shandilya's music is another asset, especially the title track of the film.

The music of UUF KYA JAADOO MOHABBAT HAI...! was released by world renowned pianist Richard Clayderman on April 7 at Fun Republic, Andheri. Kamal Kumar Barjatya, Ajit Kumar Barjatya and Sooraj R. Barjatya were present on the occasion. Rajat Barjatya conducted the proceedings efficiently, introducing the team of the film.

Sony Music is marketing the music of the film.

I posted somewhere, isn't it pianist Richard Clayderman paying royalty to Barjatyas for using the composition that he made for this film, into his own CD?? He liked his own composition so much, he decided to buy the rights back to include it in his own CD.
