A quote from one of the awards:

"Dental Attention Needed Award: Ajay Devgan.

Enduring Devgan’s stained teeth in Gangaajal and Qayamat on a 70 mm screen is not a pleasant sight. Either the man should quit smoking or he needs a clean up, pronto."

Any idea, what do they imply by "in Gangaajal and Qayamat on a 70 mm screen "

Do they really blow up 35mm films on to 70mm film, sometimes??

Many big Indian theaters still have 70mm screens. But I don't know if the current producers will go through all the expenses to get a 35mm to 70mm blow up done.

I have seen Jurrasic Park 2 projected on to a 70mm screen and its not very appealing. This was at Sathyam theater in Madras, the 1.85.1 image was on the middle of gigantic 70mm screen with no matting and DTS sound. Since most Indian movies are 2.35.1 scope, they might look better projected on to a 70mm screen.

70mm in this case is just nonsensical journalistic blabber...I've worked for a paper for a while and many writers throw words like this around simply because they've seen other journalists using it. Shouldn't read too much into it.

Here is another one:

Supari girl strikes back

""""But then I don't want to compromise in this line. I admire it too much! Watching a great piece of work on 70mm is, indeed, admirable and I will do anything in my power to either be a part of or create such work!” """"

I guess 99.9% of the people don't know that 70mm prints are almost never used now. Forget about a film shot on 70mm and screened as 70mm, they don't even blow up widescreen 35mm films on to 70mm (like Sholay) film for projecting on to extra large screens.
