Babita starrer Kismat, Directed by Manmohan Desai is released by BEI (IW). I know, it has a few famous songs, but I'm totally blank about this film.

Any info on it's Storyline or its songs.
Has to be a good film. It's directed by Manmohan Desai. I think, it's kind of stunt film later classified as special effect or action film, typical of Manmohan Desai.

Rana - I have not seen this film, but it does have some famous songs to the music of O P Nayyar:

Lakhon Hain Yahan Dilwale Aur Pyar Nahin Milta by Mahendra Kapoor
Kajra Mohabbat Wala, Akhiyon Mein Aise Dhala by Asha Bhosle and Shamshad Begum has been done on various remixes

Thanks Armaan.
Yes, this is the song, I was referring to, that was extremely popular and famous. I must have seen this film when it was released (never missed any in those days), but am totally blank about it.

Received my Kismat DVD today.

Excellent print. Old DEI type. At few spots, print is a bit faded, but that's understandable for such an old film.

Music is excellent. There are more songs equally good or better than the 2 songs mentioned above by Armaan.

Plot: Typical spy fare after James Bond and Farz successes.

Encoding: Progressive. Very High Bit Rate. Normally @ 7 mbps. Audio 2 Ch @ 240 kbps.

Media: Typical BEI. 20% goldish.

Basically Silver disc, some Gold tint in it.

If you check underside of old DEI and other DVDs, and compare them with newer Indian DVDs, you'll see the difference. In the old times, it used to be Gold. These days discs are basically Silver in color, with various degrees of Goldish mix. Some discs are totally Silver and we all have noticed, how quickly they rot if dual layer disc. More Gold, the longer they seem to last.

Arsh, the Guru! Comment please.

Which, if any, of the newer BEI titles (Yateem, etc.) were on silver media?

Agreed.

But, there is strong co-relation so far, that only the Silver colored Dual Layer Indian DVDs and some Hollywood DVDs that have shown DVD rot problems.

Other Songs are:

One Two Oh Ya Ya Ya (helen; Average)

Aankhon Mein Kyamat Ka Kaajal, --- (Very melodious)

Aao Huzoor Tumko Sitaron Mein Le Chaloon (Babita; as good and perhaps as popular as Kajra Mohabbat Wala song)
