click for larger view The Information and Broadcasting Ministry is going to be stringent about regulation of the new 'U' (uniform) certificate to movies and telecast programs. The ministry aims at banning all raunchy songs. But those involved claim that the ban will not affect them and their colorful re-mixed songs as ''none of my videos are raunchy". The censor doesn't aim at banning them", he feels. However, DJ Aqeel views that such a ban would affect producers like Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru, who need to be worried. DJ Aqeel says that 'Vaada Raha' remix has butt and cleavage; this is to recall that Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru are the producers of 'Kaanta Laga' and 'Chadtee Jawani'.
They don't find anything wrong in their music videos. In fact, they claim to be producing a feature film now. Moreover, the I&B Ministry's ban would be applicable to those channels, which uplink their programs from India. And the channels not using India for uplink would not bother about it. While channels like MTV and V uplink from outside, their programs would remain unaffected. However, domestic channel like SAB TV would not be allowed to telecast forbidden songs. The public opinion is divided. There are votaries of freedom who are opposed to any curbs on telecasts. Another important section says that if anything is bad, the ban should apply to all telecasters, whether they uplink such programs from outside or inside the country. When something is available in the air, any one can fetch it. There should be uniform regulations for broadcasters though, they aver.
