One track in T-Series Kaanta Laga DVD has "Hum Tumhein Chaahtey Hain Aise from QURBANI", the verse that was deleted from the film.

In the original theatrical release of QURBANI, 'Koi Poochay Mera Iraada (Zeenat)' verse in the song "Hum Tumhein Chaahtey Hain Aise" was inluded which was later deleted. Never to be found again. Remix album has this verse (but has only this verse, not the rest of the song) filmed on new artistes.

Remixes opens doors to such deleted sogs and verses.
Other songs that I recall have been deleted out from the films are:

Sangam; O Mere Sanam - Mukesh verse "Sunte hain Pyar Ki Duniya Mein".

Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi: 'Saathi Mere' - Verses in the film are different from verses in it's LP.

Many other films where routinely Songs are avail in the soundtrack but never make it to the film version. For example: COMPANY, BHOOT, -----.

I wish I could see the original Zara Poochho To Mera Iraada, Mere Dil Ka Hai Kaun Shahzada verse picturised on Zeenat and Vinod. Now that you mentioned it, I remember seeing it in the film only once in my childhood. I was beginning to think that I dreamt it, that it was never picturised!

I don't know what Feroz Khan was thinking. Without that verse, story situation changes quite a bit. Moreover, Zeenat looked better (and hotter) in this verse.

I can understand, they trim the theatrical version to keep interest in the film, but for home video, they should put the deleted scenes back in. We have scan buttons on remote to set our own pace.

But, smart people make the theatrical versions longer and home video versions shorter.

Ah yes, this was one of the best songs and scenes ever filmed! Why did Feroz Khan have to cut it!
Yes, but since it's just a remix it's not showing the original video footage. The Qurbani s/t still has the verse in it that Zeenat's character sings. Are you sure that it was only included in the theatrical release? I remember seeing Qurbani on video years ago which included the section that Zeenat sings...maybe it was a pirate.

You are absolutely right Mr_Khiladi. I saw it in Home Video as well. It was the first home video I ever saw. I was in England (May 1980), where Video players had just become available and that too on rental mostly (North America was 1 Year behind in introducing VCRs). My hosts had rented a VCR and Qurbani tape for home viewing. This song was in full in that tape. I'm not 100% sure if I saw this film in theatre or not. Most likely, I did see it in the theatre in the following months.

Another interesting tid bit about me and it’s Soundtrack:
I was attending a party and wanted to impress others with the QURBANI songs that I knew, others had not heard yet. Some new acquaintance, from Halifax, liked the songs and asked me if I could give him the LP. It was the original, double sleeved, colorful deluxe edition. He'll pay me for it. I felt very proud. But, now he handed me half price for it (what was a collector's item for me, was a 'used item' for him). I was too shy to say anything.
Not too bad so far. So what, if I got $ 5 and I’ll have to pay $ 10 to buy it again. Now the real shock. The new stock was not the deluxe edition any more. Moreover, Zeenat sung verse had been deleted for good from the soundtracks.

I kept looking for that full song, but never found it until last year (after 21 yrs) when I found a long forgotten good quality audio cassette that I had made myself from the original LP when I had bought it. In those days, I used to copy LPs to audio cassettes believing, perhaps correctly, that I’ll get better than LP (when LP gets worn out) and ‘official audio cassettes’ quality. (Same thing happening now, when I have started transferring time bomb DVDs on to DVD-R).

The full song, including the seductive Zeenat Aman's verse sang by Kanchan, has always been available on soundtrack. I have it on LP and recent CD that I bought. I have seen it on video, but its going to be very difficult to get hold of a very early release of this movie on video.

But, I never found it anywhere in the 80s. After the deluxe LPs wre gone, the new soundtracks did not have this verse. You may be right, some CD editions, later on, might have put this verse back. CDs (more than one) that I have, none has this verse.

Armaan, if you ever come across this full song on CD and/ or on Video, could you please acquire it for me. (Or locate it for me and I'll order it myself).

Thanks.

My LP was purchased a few years after its release, and it is single-sleeved, but have the full song. Here is the cover:

I have come across the full song in LPs, audios and CDs. Just make sure Kanchan is mentioned in the credits to song. In any case, here is the link. The CD is £4 (=$6) and they will ship to Canada/USA.

I had bought the audio s/t in yr 2000 while I was on Holiday in New York, in a music shop in Richmond Hill, Queens. It was on a 2LP tape including the music of Rocky. I don't know if this is near you rana, but if anywhere you should find it there...and of course it's the full version.

I didn't know that any version of the audio s/t was cut until you told me. Unfortunately I own the video, which is cut!

Thanks Armaan and Mr_Khiladi for the tips.

I'll look for the CD. (I already have audio cassette; and LPs are obsolete now).

If anyone comes across the full version video from over 20 yrs ago, I'll be interested.

Thanks.
