on a local t.v. show they told us that the original DVD of Baghban will be coming on the 15th of October. Containing a 2 disk set.
i wounder what the special features be? i guess songs of ambitah or hema and the show reel or the t.v. promos. But on t.v. they showed the making and it had eros all over it. so maybe that might be in there to.

They have touched the nadir, with their recent 2 disc editions and new films, worst ever pq/transfer..

I was comparing knk with shemaroo's great gambler(old print) that is better on the eyes to watch..

KNK makes u throw up, with all that flicker ladden, hideous transfer.. :baaa:  :bash:  :stupid: :bangbang:

this is what i think the second disc will be:
Showreel of the movie
15 songs of Hema/Amitabh
interview with Hema/Amitabh
and maybe even like 4-5 scenes from Hema/Amitabh movies

My favourite line is:

"I think everyone should watch this film, because the entire cast and crew worked really hard on it, and it shows onscreen".

i saw the pirate copy at the back of the shop playing. the copy looked pretty good. i dont think it was one of those spark pirates since the sighn on it said pak on it. but the t.v. it was playing on was really small so it can have an effect on the print. i asked him if i can rent it but he only had one for recording it on video. But he also said the original is coming out on oct.15th.

hey faddy, the movie really isn't that good eh ??? ???

it's only worth watching for AB-Hema's performances, and the Paresh Rawal sequences in the second half...

I personally really enjoyed it even though the ending could have been better. I like family tear jerkers so if your this type you will enjoy it. All parents (mine included) that I know really enjoyed this flick .....

Cant wait for the DVD and hope to god ERO$ does not get it ....

Just read a review of Baghban (I haven't seen the movie). Shock-horror ... it's a direct copy of an old Hindi movie made in the late 1940s. I can't remember the name of the movie but I remember the story very well.

Hopefully one day people will give credit to the original before trying to pass their efforts off as their own ideas! From the review there are elements of Baghban that are identical to the older movie - such as the grandmother following the granddaughter to a club (in the old movie she follows the granddaughter to the theatre where the granddaughter is secretly performing on stage). :D
