But it's important not to lose sight of the fact that opinions on dvds print transfers are subjective, just as opinion on the quality of the film's contents.
armaan you are so right and I agree 100%! Before I answer your question on Yeh Vaada Raha, let me explain the method I use to rate a dvd. Firstly, I try to avoid comparison between two labels for obvious reasons. Take for example, the worst DEI/BEI which I may rate as poor, and given the same quality on a different label such as BABA, I would rate it as excellent In other words I have different standards for different labels and as you know its very rare that you might find two labels on par! Every label have their expectations and limitations, once we understand that then we can then be as object or subjective to that particular brand to our hearts content.
So said, for Yeh Vaada Raha, as I mentioned I am partial to this movie and love the sound tract. The source used is not the greatest, yet not bad for Baba standard, as you may well know they make no attempt to restore or clean whatever prints they get their hands on. Expect slight wear and blemishes, the color at most is very good and the images are sharp. Use of DNR is evident but not as pronounced as let say Sanam Teri Kasam, had DEI/BEI put out something like this I would call it crap and a disaster! Understanding BaBa's limitation, I would therefore rate this as excellent . The bottom line is understanding the capabilities of any given label and establishing a standard for them.
Sincerely hope you get an understanding of what I am talking about!
