With crossover films like 'Monsoon Wedding', 'Bend It Like Beckham' and 'Hollywood Bollywood' doing great business in India and abroad, here's another film in this genre, 'The Perfect Husband'. A social satire, the film, to be made in English with a smattering of Hindi and Punjabi, is a modern and thought-provoking look at the Indian marriage 'game'. It is about a woman's quest for that perfect husband. Marking the directorial debut of Priya Ruth Singh Paul, an Indian-Jewish filmmaker who has made several television serials before, the cast comprises Parvin Dabas, Neha Dubey, Rajeshwari Sachdev, Amin Hajee, Sinia Dugal and British actor Will Randall.

Even though this is totally unrelated, I wish someone would have the guts to adapt Vikram Seth's A SUITABLE BOY for the big screen.

not enough people have the guts to read it (myself included), much less adapt it. do you think a book of that size can be adapted into 3 hours? i think you'd need a mini-series of some sort.
