Hi everybody. I was recently in a videoshop and was shocked at the number of 2 in one and 3 in one DVDs on sale and they were SUPER CHEAP compared to the originals. They had Jaal/Qayamat combo, Qayamat/Diljale/Dilwale trio and everything you can imagine. They had Kabhie Kahbie/Silsila, Baazigar/Darr and every popular title under the sun like DDLJ/KKHH combo. The prices were $9.99 for a 2 in one and some three in ones were $9.99 too!!

Now my question is how is the quality? What I'm saying is that I have never ever brought one of these 2 in one or 3 in ones is the quality the okay? Is it VHS type stuff or better. Also seeing as the price is so low does the disc still work after a couple of viewings or like EROS it stops playing or worse still doesn't play at all? Anybody out there had any experience with this. I was thinking of buying DDLJ on DVD and there was this two in one (DDLJ/KKHH). The DDLJ two disc DVD is priced at 29.99 plus tax while the two in one is 9.99 plus tax. Since its a Yashraj film there is NO WAY its going to see a release any other way except this pirated stuff like 2 in one. By the way I am quoting CANADIAN prices and saw all this two in one and three in one stuff at Tasleem's Video in Vancouver, B.C. if anybody is interested.

Khaira.. any of these 2-in-1 DVDS would have the same quality as an original 1-in-1 dvd.. and that would be SHIT...with the notable exception of DEI.
So if you want to buy a 2-in-1 dvd of say a yashraj film, then please do so.. cos that the best way to watch a Yashraj film.. Of cos, you should make sure that you pay no more than 7$ canadian for such a 2-in-1 combo..cos thats what it deserves !
The same goes for all non-BEI films as well !

I mentioned it earlier in one of the posts:

In the beginning, 2in1s were good, media wise and PQ-Audio wise. Some titles were even better than legit originals. Now there are many players who have jumped in and you get mixed results. Sometimes you may get good DVDs and sometimes toatal crap.

The same goes for 1in1 pirates as well. Actually, out of a few cheap DVDs that I have bought, I had more troubles with 1in1 pirates.

just curious...can dual layered discs be silver/pseudo silver media?
