I wouldn't be surprised if VS does give Media-Dimensions DigiBeta master of films...wouldn't that be cheaper than submitting negatives of films for authoring dvds?

Its a nice PR gesture from VS to offer replacement DVD. Who picks up the postage if it is manuf defect? Is the receipt reqd?

But, what's the point when it is preknown that, with time, their newer production batches keep getting worst as far as longevity is concerned. My first orig VS DVDs lasted about 3 months and rotted without even playing more than once (Gadar, BMCM, Chhupa Rustam, GWBW, and many others). The replacement discs will not even last another month. Moeover, why depend on their good will (there is none) when we can buy new VS discs for as little as $ 2.99 but we don't (why waste $ 2.99 for one view or less).

Making normal life DVDs is the only answer.
Making Industry standard PQ DVDs is expecting too much from VS but we do expect normal life at least.

Right, e-mail number 2 from Video Sound - I'm not making any comments :stupid: :baaa:

Dear Sir:

We would like to confirm that Badhaai Ho Badhaai is not anamorphic and it
was an error due to the material supplied to us from India. I would
appreciate if you could send the DVD to us and we will gladly refund you.
Once again I would like to apologize for the inconvenience.

As for Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein and Deewanapan we have clearly stated on
the DVD back that it is in AC3 and not anamorphic.

If you have any more questions or concerns please contact me.

Happy New Year!!

Another problematic Video Sound DVD..

Anyone have Manchalaa DVD Starring: Vivek Mushran, Gauri Khopkar..

This would be my very first dvd that i 've come across that would not allow you to rewind or fast-forward. and if you try to rewind/fastforward, it would freeze momentarily (about 10/15 seconds) and would jump to the next chapter. Anyone else have this DVD with this quality?

:oh:

You really have wasted your money on that film! But, I think that shop hasn't been taking good care of the DVD, or maybe just the DVD is a pirate. Plus, after you watch the film, you'll take all your fustration out, and use it as a frisbee!

They have mailed me a new DVD back, but its missing a inlay chapter card which was with the first dvd.

Well hope this DVD will work after 2 viewing...

todaay in the morning when i went to the video store i asked if he had pyar kiya tho darna kiya, pyar tho hona he tha, koyla, and biwi#1 for rent on dvd and she just gave me all 4 dvds which were packed and never used which was for sale so than when i opend them at home and i saw that the dvds at the back were in gold disk and said super digital. and the odd thing about it is that it was in one of those new video sound covers that has there name in shiney gold and blue and dose not say super digital on the cover. And the odd part is that he is giving me each for $10 cdn since he barley knows the differance how a pirate and original looks like. so is vs back together with sd and is it worth for me to buy these tittles from him.
need your input a.s.a.p.
thanks in advance

These Super Digital versions and 15 or so others (plus some VS-SD song DVDs) are avail on Super Digital site. BTW, when you look for a title, price mentioned is $ 19.99, but when you check the same in sale, bargain or clearance section, they are around $9.99.

Among the 4 titles Izzy mentioned, Biwi # 1 is interlaced and other three (SD versions) are progressive. Except for a few, most VS-SD titles are progressive.
