i just think the black bars are a wast of space on your t.v. especially the regular non anamorphic letter box ones :ffs: :ffs: :ffs: :ffs: :ffs:

Non-anamorphic is bad, but anamorphic letterboxed (like most Indian DVDs) are not bad. The quality stinks though.

The reviewer of this DVD on the home theater forum says that picture quality on this DVD is "pretty good" and that the anamorphic transfer "looked nice." He gave the picture quality a 4/5.

On the sound quality he says that "sound was very nice overall. A good sound mix for the type of film." He gives the sound 4/5!!!

From the IGN review:
Quote:
By Bollywood standards, this is a superb film. But by American standards, there are problems.

I thought this movie was shot in UK with the crew from the 'west'.

Quote:
Also, it's common in Bollywood films for the dailies to be sent to the production house and the colors processed as the dailies arrive, whereas in an American film they wait until filming is done and process it in one fell swoop.

A film shot in UK is most likely to follow the American standard than the 'bollywood standard'.
