In my opinion, Deepa Metha is an average art filmaker. Both her films; Fire & Earth were nothing great. However, I slightly liked Earth better than Fire, mainly because of Aamir Khan's presence and his acting.

Rogers Video is a retailer owned by Canada largest Cable TV operators Rogers Cable runned by Ted Rogers. Definetly not dodgy a totally trust worthy e-tailer. The are as big as Blockbuster is in the United States and Canada. They are always in competition.

Roger wasn't dodgy after all :oops:

Screen shots from this DVD; anamorphic 1.85:1 - video is darker and duller, detail seems less visible on this DVD than the Shemaroo DVD - audio?? - screen shots thanks to Arsh;

It's not cropped - both are around 1.85:1 - one is anamorphic (New Yorker) the other isn't (Shemaroo) or you still confused about aspect ratios, widescreen and cropping? :sus:
