You have to take the British tabloid route with these people. Build them up, compliment them on how good the movies are (ones they distributed) and then hit them hard with the message that their DVDs are utter crap  - hmmm no wonder no ones talk to me anymore :wotever:

Hutbay, to make it easier, just compliment them on Fiza, since DEI authored it :)

I bought DCH over a year ago, why should I keep a receipt that long? I didn't know that a DVD could just stop working  :ffs:

And if that doesn't work, say that the CEO of Spark is sleeping with Kishore Lulla :D

Very true, I can dig up the online Sales reciept as I bought them at Indianblockbuster. I might give em a call and see what they have to say. My long distance charge + shipping back the old DISC = I think i can buy a new one.

worst is the promos which you can't skip or fast forward thru... I hate the promos on the TUM BIN DVD by Videosound. I have to watch all the crap before the movie  I hope they make it atleast skipable.

I've given up on Indian DVDs after Dil Chahta Hai stopped working. The whole DCH fiasco is an example of how Indian DVDs are utter crap. The receipt. He can kiss my a$$, who the hell keeps the receipt of a DVD for 9 months. I play the DVD and if it works fine I think that it will ALWAYS work that way unless I scratch it or damage it in some way.

All this receipt crap is bull. Your right on the money, once you add up the long distance charges talking to these morons, the shipping back and forth of DVD/receipt, etc. you could have bought a 3 disc Criterion Collection hollywood movie. They give you the run around hoping you will get frustrated and just stop pursuing the matter, if you don't they will probably at the end of it all send you another copy of the DVD movie which after playing a couple of times will also stop playing. This is the point where you contact them and they give you the run around asking for the receipt or some crap again for the second disc and think something is wrong with YOU since their discs don't work. At this point you want to kill the person on the other line and the gaalis start flying, main teri....etc., etc. Finally you slap yourself in the face for having bought the bloody DVD in the first place and running up your telephone bill. Exaspertated you fall on the ground and swear off Indian DVDs forever whether its Lulla, Lullo or Laali. This is what happens...uhh...so I've heard :ohyeh:

Hutbay, what kinda DVD player do you have ?... There is way for skipping those ads...

I had posted that info sometime last year... Why dont you do a search on this forum.... the keywords being APEX DVD players or something like that... or you can even search for DVD digest..

Please be warned that this technique wont work on many discs...
Shemaroo's discs *like KARZ etc... wont allow you to skip them... so what do you do ?
You stop the dvd after it has reached Shemaroo's logo page and then restart it... It goes to the part where u can see all their forthcoming attractions... You can skip those !..
Same goes for old EVP titles.... !
