Bollywood thesp Kabir Bedi will topline a sequel to the swashbuckler "Sandokan -- The Malaysian Tiger," which catapulted him to stardom 30 years ago.
The $4 million Italian-lingo "Sandokan in Sicily" will be co-produced by producer-director Aditya Bhattacharya and Destiny Films of Italy, and will be dubbed into Hindi and English.

The original pirate tale was based on books written over a century ago by Italian Emilio Salgari. This time Bedi will play himself, a Bollywood actor, as the embodiment of Sandokan, who is abducted by a Mafia don.

The original movie made Bedi an icon in Italy and he became one of Bollywood's first crossover stars, trading punches with Roger Moore as Gobinda in the Bond film "Octopussy."

Also starred in a caribbean flick originally titled " Man from africa" later changed to " Girl from India"
Incidentally, it was set in Trinidad, his accent also made him to be out place with the caribbean actors. Good movie though, it had it's funny moments. You can catch it on vhs by esquire. :D
