When it looks like that, does it really matter?

Hmm was this Mela a hit in those days ?

Two real life brothers made it big in reel life with this film (if it was hit)..

Unf 29 years later 2 real life brothers tried doing that again and the film ended as a dud...

Mela again with Aamir and Faisal Khan !

I've asked a relative visiting India to bring me back Shemaroo's Chhoti Si Baat. I hope it doesn't look like this. Even if it does, I sure ain't buying the YRF version!

Does the DVD cover show release/ manufacturing date for this DVD.

Let's hope starting from Subjhas Ghai collection releases, all their future DVDs and redone re-release DVDs are of SG Collection quality or better.

Hardev, come on, give us your findings on your recently acquired Shemaroo DVDs from India.
Please ID them for Pseudo-Prog vs Field Averaged Interlaced. We already know of 25 or so Shemaroo titles. Addind your 10-15 titles will be very significant.

Thanks.

So, it's not a Shemaroo title. Shemaroo just authored it for a client from whatever source the client provided.
(Actually, I started looking at Shemaroo website and didn't see MELA in there. Then I saw Arsh's post that it's not a Shemaroo release)

Shemaroo does a far better job, when they do a DVD for themselves.

Yup!! It is like JJPK..kinda affair!! May be SHEMAROO will release this themselves, giving a more NEAT looking transfer!

I believe the song 'Jata Hai to Ja' or whatever is very poor in terms of quality inrhe official Shemaroo release. Its pretty blurry and smudgy

^ Correction . The song is "Ja Na Ja Ja Na.. Kya Soch Raha Hai?"

I love the song

I saw it in a songs DVD, probably it was unprocessed. Maybe the movie DVD would be good.

The shots belong to the spark DVD authorized by Shemaroo (I think)
