eena Kumari dies in the nursing home. She dies without saying ‘Goodbye’. All night we wait outsider her room anxiously... she does not regain consciousness. She leaves her diary for me. I’m touched but not surprised... Her diary is not the secrets of her life as it’s later made out to be... They are mere jottings... records of thoughts she didn’t wish to forget... records of feelings, yet incomplete to be termed poetry... a gesture of attachment....
