Yes, Chiranjeevi/Maniya? Indra? who did that BAD DVD? ?

Who is Maniya? Is it a nick? Indra has Sonali Bendre and Aarti Agarwal besides Chiranjeevi. There are two DVDs one by Dakshin movies and one by IndianMovies.com. The one by IndianMovies.com is marginally better

Arsh,
Don't even think about buying any Telugu DVD except from EVP. Indra is not from EVP. Stay away from it.

Thats a pretty bold statement. I have yet to see the movie myself.

oh the suspense..its eating me up from inside!! :ffs:

Where did you get that quote from? I saw the movie on screen. Excellent movie. If you disregard the last 30 mins of the movie (srtched to elevate the hero's image and not bad by indian movie standards), it is the best action(?) movie since Shiva.

Recent Tamil DVDs DO have DTS sound and the results have been quite excellent, even beating some DTS American DVDs.

Check out

Bala (Dolby 5.1 & DTS on one disc),
Anbe Sivam (First Single DTS Indian DVD),
April Manathil (Dobly 5.1 & DTS on one disc).

Anbe Sivam is the first Indian DVD disc to just have a sole DTS soundtrack on one disc and Dolby on another thus preserving the high quality of the picture. Bala and April Manathil had short running times of aorund 130 mins so Ayngaran felt best to put DTS and Dolby on one disc.

Buy Anbe Sivam and be amazed at the DTS sound quality...I was :)

Ps. Only Kandukodian Kandukodian, Muttham, Kadhal Azvathilai and Mudhalavan had worngly used the DTS logo which has now been corrected with new cover designs with the Dolby Logo.

I'm not sure if there has been an Indian dvd encoded with a DTS soundtrack..

..and judging by the majority of posts here at zulm, most of you watch Hindi & Tamil DVD's (films)..but here is something different..

Telugu "Okkadu" DVD being released by EVP is featuring DTS soundtrack along with DD5.1!

here is direct link to Okkadu DVD info..

homepage:

I wasn't particularly satisfied with the DD5.1 from the dubbed films 12B & Amrutha (Kannathil Muthamitaal), but i however watched 'Santosham', and the DD5.1 improved quite a bit!

hope this Okkadu disc is goooood. music is excellent!

I preordered mine. $24.99 for Okkadu & an additional title. Free shipping! $14.99 stand alone. packed with English Subs.

Reviews of films(incase Arsh wants to order :p or rent since he seems to have access to all dvd's :tounge: ) :
Okkadu: http://idlebrain.com/movie/archive/mr-okkadu.html
Nee Sneham: http://idlebrain.com/movie/archive/mr-neesneham.html

can't wait for the end of month! w00t

will this be the first Indian DTS disc? I haven't seen any Indian movies on DTS disc (even on columbia tristar & foreign authors).

Thanks Pav, I just ordered the duo for $24.99. I went through your links and read the review, heard the songs and I knew I had to get these two movies. Thanks.
