just want everyone to know that this is a MUST see movie to see in the theaters. don't listen to anyone who tells you the first one was better, they don't know what they're talking about. definitely one of the top five movies i've ever watched. if kaante or saathiya doesn't suit your tastes this weekend, this movie will NOT disappoint.

I think that's a bit unfair. People who think FELLOWSHIP better aren't necessarily "haters" of THE TWO TOWERS. Personally, I loved the first film, and I think that Peter Jackson and his team are creating a landmark achievement in cinema. However, THE TWO TOWERS has a harder time attaining focus, as its narrative is less linear. I agree with many that the first film is indeed better; it was tighter, and the length flew by. In this one, I felt the three hours, and I felt that some parts were largely unecessary (flashbacks, etc). Anyways, I still loved the film, and it's sitting somewhere between #2 and #4 on my top ten list.

sorry kamran, i was exaggerating a little to emphasize why people should go watch it when i said people who think the first is better don't know what they're talking about. the first is the beginning of a great adventure, and has it's place; those who prefer the first prob. prefer the "adventure" feeling. i differ with you as i feel the second flew by really quickly (although it was a BIT slow in the first hour). i felt the first had to explain too much for those not familiar with the books, and it went much slower for me, although those explaining parts were necessary. part of the reason why i like the second better could be attributed to the fact that i got perfect seats for this one, and had to sit in the second row for the fellowship. if you mean "tighter" by the fact that they followed a linear storyline, you understand they could not have done the two towers this way. but i'm glad you agree, this film was damn amazing.

Twin Towers was superb. The audience was clapping when it was done.
