trust me, shane warne's presence in the team wasn't going to make a big difference. after he had a shoulder injury, when he decided to come back to play even local teams were belting him for sixes all over the field. The only reason he was selected for the WC was because he announced that he would be retiring when they got back from SA.

so...shane warne wouldn't have made a big difference to the team. watch out for Adam Gilchrist & Matthew Hayden. i know they dissapointed against pakistan but they are the best in th team as of now.

anyway that's it for me for now going back to watch the game...c u guys tommorrow!

Ali, Even with you logic I guess its better for them to lose their next match rather than to Aus because the points against supersix qualifiers would be carried over to the super six phase

I hope that India gets to the supersix and beats atleast one of the two other qualifiers from Group A. The pitches till now seem to be batting pitches which would be advantageous to India

Warne NEVER made a difference to India's performance...its one team against whom he has always done badly....remember the time Tendulkar carted him all over the place....his presence or absence is of no consequence to India...now if it had been McGrath...that would have been an entirely different story.....

Hmmm... Sometimes I wonder what the status of world cricket would have been if India and Pakistan were still one country. Sure would have been one helluva team with Pakistan's bowling and India's batting, ofcourse today's Pakistan match and India's recent New Zealand tour being overlooked. Hmmm.... and how about the Hockey team?

PS: Just thinking aloud guys and no political statement intended by this.
