The purpose of the first two shots of Diya Mirza are for color comparisons (not details/sharpness or anything like that). The second shot is taken from the the making of feature so the transfer is a bit awkward...its not processed the same way the main feature was done. The botttom line is that Eros always screws up the colors...they always look faded out or "ghost" like as mentioned by Dragun.
The purpose of the last two shots is to show cropping on the sides...(but i guess thats not too much of a problem).

more detail can be seen in the screenshots of the feature, and i'm sure if you turn the colour up a little, it'll look fine.

I'd sure hate to adjust my tv everytime I sit down to watch a dvd. :nopity:

One images Bhaskar sent that was bothering him :oh:

Image

... most Eros DVDs have these marks, either top of the film or occasion flashing in the middle of the picture. Company splice marks were the worse to point to getting annoying :sus:

An article on rediff about Dum and the original Dhill:

http://www.rediff.com/movies/2003/feb/17dharini.htm

I agree with him - I didn't really like Dum - thought the characters had no personality!

But if the rumblings about Dum being a remake of Arjun and Ghaath are true, then Dhill is technically a remake of those films.

Arre Arsh bhai - I posted that link this morning!

Dhill/Dum had a very old storyline - the hero against the corrupt cop/system - but Dhill was presented in a very entertaining manner. Dum lost a lot of that when the screenplay was ripped scene for scene.

Does anyone know of any song DVDs that have the 'Babuji' song in better quality? I saw a full-length clip of the song at VideoNeeds.com, which looked liked it came from a song compilation.

This DVD (out of print now it seems) looks promising...
