some info here :

Bipasha sheds her inhibitions

Up ahead for a hit-starved Bollywood is perhaps the warmest January it has ever had. The hot and happening Bipasha Basu is all set to unleash a screen scorching, no-holds-barred dare-bare act in the upcoming erotic thriller, Jism.

According to the buzz in industry circles, the Pooja Bhatt-produced film features Bipasha in the role of an independent-minded woman who uses her guiles and sexuality to get ahead in life.

Interestingly, the supermodel-turned-actress hasn't used a body double for any of the steamy scenes in the film. If sources are to be believed, never before has a mainstream Mumbai actress gone quite so far in shedding her inhibitions – and clothes.

"I don't mind a little bit of nudity if the script demands it," says the sultry seductress. "In Jism, to be honest, I have really enjoyed strutting my stuff in front of the camera."

Bipasha is, however, quick to counter a suggestion that she has been using her hourglass figure to further her film career. "That's not true," she asserts. "You can't survive in the industry by merely exposing your body. You've got to have talent as well."

But she has no problem with the pre-release publicity of the film playing up the erotic aspect of Jism. "Sex alone cannot sell a film, but there is no harm if all talk about the film centres on the erotic scenes in the run-up to its release," she says matter-of-factly.

Jism, scheduled for release in January 2003, also has Bipasha's ex-boyfriend and model John Abraham in the cast. The film has been directed by debutant Amit Saxena.

Mahesh Bhatt’s Jism being directed by first-timer Amit Saxena is a very bold subject about a woman who is aware of her sexuality and uses her body to gain in every way she can. She is ruthless to a point that she comes across as a villain at times. Bipasha Basu plays the lead role in this ‘Basic Instinct’ inspired version that is being produced by Pooja Bhatt with Shreya Creations Pvt Ltd.

Sonia (Bipasha Basu) is married to Gulshan Grover. But Kabir (John Abraham) is interested in her physically and trails her. They start having a torrid affair after she hires him to kill her husband. She realizes that she can use her body to her advantage and gets him hooked to her so that she can use him.

But somewhere, Kabir falls in love with her despite knowing her dangerous intentions. He kills her husband but doesn’t realize that he himself is next on her hit list. Knowing that he has fallen emotionally dependant on her, she gets another man to eliminate him for her gains. “Sonia uses everyone for her needs. She’s basically a calculating and selfish woman. She knows the power of sex can make a man go weak and she uses her appeal at the right times,” says Mahesh Bhatt.

The film introduces supermodel John Abraham. This will be his screen debut, as his first film with Rahul Rawail is stalled. “Everyone has been complimenting me after the trailers of Jism started on TV, so I just hope the film does well,” he says. As for Bipasha, she’s not worried playing a complete bitch on screen. “It’s a very challenging role for any actress and I am glad I got it,” she adds. Jism has dialogues by journalist Niranjan Iyengar and is being made with a budget of Rs 3.25 crores. The film releases on January 17’ 2003.

ideas from Hollywood flicks ..

dushman ..an eye for an eye

sangharsh ..silence of the lambs

kasoor ..jagged edge

raaz ..what lies beneath

awaara paagal deewana ..whole nine yards and matrix action scenes

jism ..body heat

..mahesh bhatt has scripted some of these films ..mukhesh bhatt has produced some of these films ..vikram bhatt has directed some of these films ..what worse is that they deny what they're doing ..i remember mukhesh bhatt denying kasoor was a remake of any hollywood movie .. the sad thing is that nobody calls them on it..

Here is Taran's masti bhara preview, Pooja bhatt ki zubani!

Taran, I guess? like ECLS, has already declared JISM, basis of its EROTIC appeal, a SUPER SUCCESS!! Way to go MORON!

He should become a BLUE FILM/ADULT FILM's CRITIC!

Jism

By Taran Adarsh

Pooja Bhatt's latest venture JISM is all set for release next week – January 17 – and the actress turned producer is more than excited about her new 'baby'. “With SUR, I was on my own. Making my own decisions. It was a learning experience. JISM was far more easy in that respect,” she tells me.

Made at a cost of Rs. 3.10 crores [Rs. 4 crores, inclusive of all publicity and marketing], JISM was shot in a start-to-finish schedule of 41 days in Pondicherry.

You may find this hard to believe, but the film was born during her stay in Pondicherry, when Pooja and editor-turned-director Amit Saxena suddenly chanced upon three streets and a hotel in the vicinity. “I told Amit that this had to be the setting for the film,” Pooja reveals.

With JISM, Pooja decided to go against the norms of Bollywood. “A lot of people felt that the role of the leading lady with shades of grey would go against the film. In normal context, a character like this would be labelled a vamp, not a heroine. But I felt that this aspect would stand out and prove to be the strong point of the film. Bipasha's character is the hero of the film, in my opinion.”

Pooja was also advised against using the black colour in the publicity campaign. “It's a bad omen, the wise suggested. But I wanted Bipasha to wear a black outfit and even the background had to be black. No other colour would do,” she laughs.

After a pause, she continues, “But Dad (Mahesh Bhatt) was very supportive throughout. He kept pushing me, advising me to do what I felt was right.”

Describing JISM as an “emotionally rich film”, Pooja states that the film has shaped up beyond her expectations. “The material is far deeper than what it was at the outset,” she says.
