Mumbai, Dec 24 (IANS) After latest Bollywood release "Kaante", director-actor Mahesh Manjrekar is now producing a film he says will be the female version of the hit gangster flick.

Titled "Pran Jaaye Par Shaan Na Jaaye", the movie is set in a Mumbai slum.

It has six of the leading ladies of Bollywood -- Raveena Tandon, Namrata Shirodkar, Divya Dutta, Diya Mirza, Rinke Khanna and Shweta Menon -- playing the role of street-hardened women trying to strike it rich.

"Watch out, here comes the female 'Kaante,'" says Manjrekar, who also plays a hoodlum in the film.

OMG, ITS NOT A GANGSTER FILM!!!!

The movie is a slice of life drama dealing with the lives of a few women all living in the same community. It deals with female issues but is not as disturbing or grim as Lajja.

Manjrekar's just pulling our legs.

With a title like that and with Mahesh Manjarekar at the helm, instead of another 'Dil Chahta Hai', it would be better to expect another crappy bollywood film.

PS: Mahesh Manjarekar is another one of those bollywood overhyped directors. No good director could make a film like 'Jis Desh Mein Ganga Rehta Hai'.

I would hardly call any of those actors "leading ladies".
