Arhan if i am not mistaken....who BTW will be baptised in a church as per the wishes of the mother who is half-catholic....thus completing a secular family tradition for the Khans.....they have everything in their family....
father Salim's muslim, mother Salma was born a Rajput Dogra-Maratha, step-mom Helen Richardson is a practising Catholic....all that remains is a Jewish connection and we shall have the complete peaceful model world family....:oo:

Mother Salma WAS a Rajput Dogra-Maratha (Hindu) BUT she had to convert to Islam and change her name (Nikaah).

So they can't really be secular my friend... As a friend tells me Muslims are allowed to marry Christians and Jews without conversion (since they are ppl of the book) but partners of all other religions must convert regardless.

Maybe that's why Aish Rai didn't want marriage with Salman as her parents made it clear they didn't trust him.

Maliaka & Arbazz did get married in both christian & muslim rights. i think they are setting quiet a good example & its quiet amazing on Arbaaz's part to let his wife follow her religion & repect it so much. its very rare these days.

They both got married in Christian & Muslim rights? Where did you hear that, I thought they just has a registered marriage with some readings from Quran & Bible. I must've heard wrong.

I agree it's rare these days that you'd find that level of tolerance or acceptence, but wonder how they'll rase the child, probably with both religions? But there will come a time where their views might clash, esp as catholics keep images.

it was in one of the filmi magazines, filmfare if i remember correctly. as for the kid i think with such open minded parents when he is old enough they might ask him to choose what ever he wishes to follow.

Not to sound churlish, but others (you know who you are) should take a cue from this excellent example of inter-faith camaraderie... I really envy the kid... he gets the best of both religions and (hopefully he is not exposed to the crap in both religions).... Way to go Mallika & Arbaaz
