saathiya. i'll wait until all the kaante zulmi reviews come in before going to the theater to it since everyone here doesn't think too much of the director. if reviews are bad, i'll rent the pirate.

Saathiya = Yash Chopra + Mani Ratnam + ARR + Gulzar + Good Cast

Kaante = Good cast - Sanjay Gupta

either way i'll have to wait 1 extra week for the movies to release here in perth & since only one will be shown on big screen i'll be forced to watch that first! :ffs:

if it was upto me, i'd go for kaante first, seen the tamil version of Saathiya.

malfunxion - look at the last 30 secs of the trailer.... look carefully at that shot of the police car / ambulance. You have to freeze frame it at just the right point. And I don't know if my eyes are playing tricks on me, but you can kinda see him or atleast the female actress (FOR SURE).

that *should* be the only point in the trailer where the stars make their appearance, if we're going by Alaipayuthe.

btw the movie looks like a scene by scene, dialogue by dialogue copy of Alaipayuthe - so why should we go see it in the first place????

I'll go with Saathiya...

took the words straight outta my mouth...don't think kaante will be anything great...saathiya will not be as great as Alai Payuthey, but will have many things to look forward to...box office wise, neither will cut it...Saathiya will go only a few weeks doing avg business...since my local theater will not have it this weekend, i'll add it 2 my long list of movies 2 watch (Two Towers, Gangs of NY, Catch Me If You Can, El Crimen del Padre Amaro...) or else i'll just get my sis to bring back a bootleg copy of both on her return from bdesh...but inshallah i will watch saathiya in the theater...
