Ur right Shuman...I got the disc yesterday. The new disc by BEI is an exact replica of the original DEI!! It has the same DEI logo same menu features. This means that DEI has indeed changed to BEI but the discs are still under the DEI logo.

can we expect BEi to correct some of the DEi's flawed DVDs. (squashed, washed out colour, terrible source used fro dvds.. etc.. etc..)

can we?

I think, u are asking too much, they will just repackage imho, whatever we get from them shumu bhaii, is best bang for the bucks in current hindi dvd affair!

I am gald they RESURFCED from DOOM!

Looking forward to get some more goodies, that I had almost lost hope for!

I totally AGREE, they are CAPABLE!! of doing so much, if they can keep their ACT right..but that is almost IMPOSSIBLE task!!

This is really great news. Great to have DEI, I mean uhum BEI back. So we will definetly see some good new releases and more special editions. It was getting a bit crap having cinebella as the only decent dvd producer for months cos they only did 3 films. Videosound are just too crap to mention, Eros although they had good media and relatively decent sound, their picture was crap and soft. Same thing with spark. YRF have some decent transfers and sound but still not good enough and their prices are too high.

if the Bollywood Entertainment dvds are exactly the same as the former DEI dvd's, then
what was the point of changing their name from DEI to Bollywood Entertainment? :doze:
what, they were just in mood to change their name?
or did they just wanted to slightly change covers of their dvd?
:hmm:
i mean, they could atleast change their dvd's by putting their new name in them, if not better their dvd's with new transfers, correcting their problems, may be even doing HI-DEF transfers, etc, etc
if they changed their name to get out of legal trouble with DEI name, they still are in trouble even with new name, b/c they are using the dvd's of another company, DEI :bangbang:
well i guess they are like many indian dvd makers, UNPROFESSIONAL
i think they need to redo their dvd's altogather, i know dreaming here, or atleast put new name in them

no arsh
i got the point
but as said about the 'Bollywood Entertainment' dvd of film Golmaal is exact same thing as dvd of DEI, as i understand from the post is that this new dvd is not new, it is only in newer cover and with label 'Bollywood Entertainment'
but
when you play the disk it is going to say DEI in there again
that is what i was referring to
if DEI was in trouble, and it is solved by changing their name, then that is good, but now Bollywood Entertainment is using DEI made disks, is that good or ok or even legal??????
that is why i said they should have put their new name in the dvd, by taking out everything that mentioned DEI
as far as i can see, now Bollywood Entertainment can get into trouble

but i don't know the laws, so pardon my ignorance

anyways i don't have these new dvd's myself, i am thinking about this b/c Don mentioned that the dvd is exactly the same, says DEI when you play it

i think that since these titles belonged to DEI when they went out of business...but..before DEI went out of business..they transferred all their rights from this company to their new one..so it doesnt make a difference really...

main point is..DEI aka Bollywood Entertainment Inc is back in business...and we should all be happy...

This the best news I'm getting after so many months!!! Hope 2003 will not be such a bad year after all for dvds. Also I hope BEi retain their quality and avoid squashing any of their future releases.
