Is this the first release from the new DEI, now functioning as BEI? Is there a catalog of their releases yet, or are they just going to be throwing one DVD after another at us?

DEi Revived?

I 've came across one or two more BEI titled DVD.. apparently, they are some pakistani/punjabi movies. Dont' think they in anyway releated to DEi!!!!

Dont remember the two movies that i came across but sure wasn't hindi.

Looks genuine to me.

Let's hope, BEI quality is as good (or better) as DEI.

If KNPH is the first BEI release, it seems reasonable as this was supposed to be the first Anamorphic Indian DVD.

looks like KNPH release of former DEI, as BEI is supported further
indiaweekly.com has KNPH release now under BEI brand/distributor label
i clicked on DEI link at indiaweekly, did not find KNPH there :nervous:
then i clicked on link for hrithik under search by actor, and there it was, now the distributor/brand label is BEI :p
but the cover picture is still not updated, they have used the 1 disk version cover on their website, which still says DEI :hmm:
need to update the cover i must say, if they say it is by BEI, show the BEI cover for KNPH, right :stupid:

wasn't some Sunil Shetty movie the first anamorphic indian dvd????

it was the one where he had 3 sisters..... i believe it was titled krodh

i believe the second anamorphic dvd (by DEI) was Jung with Sanjay Dutt and Jackie Shroff....

Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai came a couple more releases later - sometime around April 2000, even May. Krodh came out in Feb/March i believe....

That's right darius25.

I think your comment was in response to, "If KNPH is the first BEI release, it seems reasonable as this was supposed to be the first Anamorphic Indian DVD". I f KNPH DVD release had not been delayed a few times, it would have been the first Indian Anamorphic release. I think, the plan was to launch Anamorphic transfers with Blockbuster KNPH.

Anyone else see some irony in a slightly different cover for Golmaal?
