Haven't we all said enough on this subject? I would like to make a request to all of us to please refrain from such childish, immature, and unprofessional behaviour. I am sure that in our public lives and private lives we all come across mud-slinging and name-calling, but I am also sure that we come from good homes where we were taught not to degrade another human beings' reputation or character. I think its about time all of us grouped together and stopped contributing toward this terrible mess, which has basically ended up being another Nehaflix vs. IndiaWeekly war.
Hardev, since it was your case that started this debate, I would like to tell you that I do sympathize with you, but even I find your arguments and your posts hard to read, especially due to your sentence construction and grammar. I think it must be very difficult for the folks at Nehaflix to sit through each one without getting irritated. Personally, if I was to receive emails of that sort, I would be offended too, no matter if I was right or wrong in the matter.
This only proves that disputing our issues in a public forum is healthy, but after a point it becomes very unhealthy and almost useless. The only thing it does is to tire people out and also give others a bad impression of stores they may not have tried yet. Please remember that we are not the only visitors to zulm. We may be the ones that post the most, but there are hundreds of readers of these posts everyday, and this can severely affect the fortunes of businesses of companies such as IW and Nehaflix. No matter how horrible a company is or how good it is, we should not defame it beyond a certain extent. To me, we have crossed the line, and its time to stop. You have already been given a solution as to how to redress the complaint via your credit card company. It would be so much more useful to pursue this solution rather than continuous long posts about how horrible a retailer is.
I have also spoken to the parties at IW who brought this issue up when I was dealing with an order with customer service over the phone. When they realized it was me from zulm, they referred to one of the posts I had made in a humorous manner, but then our conversation drifted to how useless and banal it was to keep talking about this issue, and how terribly unprofessional it is for consumers to continue bitching about a company. I do not work for IW, but at least I get someone on the phone when I need customer service for when I place orders.
Bottom line : this idiotic mudslinging should stop. We are above this sort of behaviour. Lets keep our community healthy and controversy-free. We should attract more useful members, and not repel people who think we're a board meant for airing grievances repeatedly.
